Attendees of the AALL PLL 2013 Summit will have an opportunity to attend two of three afternoon breakout sessions. Sally R. Phillips, Consultant and owner of Legal & HR Strategies, is our guest speaker for the breakout session titled Changing Perceptions: Selling Your Role as a Strategic Partner.
Today’s law librarian is fighting an outdated image that does not square with the current, more strategic role librarians can and in many cases do play for their law firms. While changing long-standing perceptions held by firm leaders can be daunting, such change is critical. Where to begin? The first step is identifying exactly how you want to be perceived — re-branding yourself — and then consistently “marketing” this new brand to enhance the perception of the law librarian as a valued strategic contributor. This interactive workshop will take you through the process of defining and managing your reputation as a strategic partner.
Sally’s talk in this interactive session is sure to be inspiring and chock full of great tips for re-branding your role and becoming a strategic partner for your organization.
