The 2018 PLLIP Summit will take place on Saturday, July 14th in Baltimore, MD, and will continue to provide customized programming and curated content for the private law librarian community. This year’s theme is Being the Change: The Power of Process, which will focus on the different aspects and stages of legal project management and process improvement. We hope to inspire the private law librarian community with the tools and concepts to get involved with and lead these projects already happening within their firms.
The Keynote presentation for the 2018 PLLIP Summit will provide a framework of how the concept of Lean Six Sigma in the legal profession can encourage better communication, reduce inefficient processes, and increase the value of a department. We are also excited to offer a full day of programming and speakers dedicated to providing relevant tactics and real applications of the best practices taught throughout the day. The 2018 Agenda and Speaker bios will be announced soon.
As in past years, an opening reception on the Friday evening before the Summit will provide an invaluable networking opportunity and a chance to build on the excitement for the following day’s events.
Separate registration is required for the Summit, and is found on the AALL Annual Meeting Registration form. For planning purposes, this year’s Summit registration fee will be $199. How to register: with AALL Annual Meeting registration, the Summit is listed as a Pre-Conference workshop.
